How it started
QURIZEN wasn't planned.
It found me.
In January 2026, while working in Hong Kong, I ordered a piece online from a local maker. When it arrived, the seller had thoughtfully slipped a tiny green aventurine pendant into the package as a surprise gesture—a mineral traditionally celebrated as a token of opportunity. Holding it in my hand, I felt an immediate shift in perspective.
It instantly connected me back to my late uncle, who had gifted me rare and unique specimens from his own collection when I was just a child. After he passed, those childhood memories had faded, but that single, unexpected gift brought them all rushing back.
Within two months, I found myself exploring local markets and hidden gem districts across Hong Kong, Manila, and Indonesia. One afternoon, looking at a collection of raw minerals, a simple realization struck me: Why carry these grounding reminders in my pocket when I can wear them as a daily intention? Now, just a few months later, the journey has expanded even further to Pakistan, India, the USA, Malaysia, and China.
The five pillars that have followed me my whole life
Every piece I curate or create honors one of these foundational focuses.
Living out of a suitcase became my norm, and designing jewellery became my quiet sanctuary. Today, I personally source our premium materials on my travels—from genuine crystals to organic, high-grade pearls. I curate and design each piece with an exacting eye, selecting only the elements I would proudly wear myself.
Beyond our wearable designs, there is another side to QURIZEN that remains close to my heart. I collect rare, investment-grade mineral specimens, hand-selecting each piece directly from trusted global sources. I discover them, negotiate directly with suppliers, and secure them myself. While I carry smaller treasures home in my luggage across borders, the monumental, statement specimens are carefully freighted directly from the source to my gallery in Australia.
Every natural specimen and handcrafted piece in the QURIZEN collection has a unique story. They have truly been through something magnificent to get here.
